CROW community gardens are created as a means for communities to achieve greater self-sustainability and food security to decrease their reliance on the capitalist system and actively practice collective planning, production, and distribution. In addition, participants learn and pass on vital skills and knowledge of agriculture, phases of the moon, and other cycles of the world we are a part of.
We depend on donations of space, seeds, time, labor, knowledge, and funding to sustain this program. It includes the creation of our own gardens, as well as acting in advisory and/or support capacities for gardens we don't manage. Rather than seeking to appropriate control for ourselves, we seek to empower communities themselves to take the struggle for food security and sustainability into their own hands!
